Are sharks attracted to yellow or orange? why? Aren't colors duller underwater anyway?
How can a shark detect yellow or orange underwater, don't those colors look duller or at least bluer? I read about a scientist who made that discovery. I have a yellow scuba set with yellow fins and mask, now I wonder..
Sharks are attracted to contrast. Gear that contains a mix of dark and light colours with sharp demarcations is the most easily visible from below. Wearing colours that blend in with the surface is best.
Shark attacks on humans usually occur when the victim is near the surface. The shark mistakes the outline of a human for a seal or turtle. Humans are not the natural prey of sharks.
In water that is known to have shark activity stay in a group of people and avoid splashing on the surface. Bear in mind that sharks are more active morning and evening and in deeper water. Avoid diving through shoals of fish. If you spot a shark it is probably better to wait on the bottom rather than try to reach the surface past it. Don't dive if you have open wounds. Some people recommend that menstruating women should not dive or swim. Don't dive near places where fishermen are using bait in the water.

Doc Let Beach
Located at Ninh Hoa Beach, 45km north of Nha Trang, Doc Let is a famous beach with blue and pure seawater, smooth waves, fine and white sand. Tru Beach
It is situated on Hon Tre Islet in Vinh Nguyen Ward, NhaTrang City. This is one of the most natural idyllic and finest beach in Khanh hoa, especially the purity of sea water and beach, and the surrounding environtment. Though the beach is on island bbut the waves are soft thanks to Hon Tre Mountain lying as a standing wall that prevented the ocean storm and wind. Not far from the main beach there is a small fishing village, located at the foot of mountian. Visitors can come here to know the habits of the fishing village, enjoying coconut fruit and fresh fruits.
Dai lanh Beach
Dai Lanh beach is located next to the border between Phu Yen and Khanh Hoa provinces, approximately 90km from Nha Trang.
Dai Lanh Beach has calm, clear blue water as well as soft, white sand (offering safe swimming conditions). A fresh water source runs from the bottom of a mountain through the beach. From Dai lanh Beach, visitors can travel to the fishing villages in Khai Luong and Dam Mon.
Van Phong Bay
Located 84km north of Nha Trang, Van Phong Bay consist of an 18km-long sand dune situated between the mainland and two islets. According to international surveyors, Van Phong has an area of 30000 hectares and is well sheltered by the HOn Gom peninsula from big waves and high winds. There are water sports, such as scuba diving, water skiing, and sailing as well as land activities, such as hunting and hiking, available here. It has been recoginised as one of the international sea diving association's most perfect sites for diving competitions. The International Sea Diving Club annually organise activities and competitions at the bay as Van Phong is a tourist attraction with almost untouched natural forests and lovely beaches which creates an amazing world of colourful coral.
