How does XP gauge the number of days since it was installed?
At the end of an XP installation, one gets the reminder that one must register XP within 30 days, or it will cease functioning. But what if one doesn't have an Internet connection, or what if one just feels ornery and doesn't want to register?
It's easy enough to change the date in one's computer, as Microsoft well knows, so that can't work. And it's a little harder to clone a C: drive with newly-installed XP and then, after 29 days, clone it back for a fresh start, but that, too, is obvious, so Microsoft probably took that into account, too. Or did they? Just how DOES XP gauge the number of days since an installation?
Get a coa number of your mate put it in if it hasn't been used to many times it will validate. If after thirty days you don't do this windows will cease to function.
Your Windows is set to stop working unless it gets the activation key from microsoft however the key is not set to any copy of windows so install a original you can activate with any COA XP EDITION
