Small/Medium Gap: How long is the Invisalign process?

So, I have a small/medium size gap in the middle of my two front teeth. All the rest of my teeth are perfectly straight, and I also have a small overbite. How long will it take for Invisalign braces to fix my problems, and how much do you think it will cost?

i! We do Invisalign in our office all the time. Your case sounds like what we call a "short" one, average time is 9 to 14 months. In order to plan for Invisalign, your dental office will need to take records including molds of your upper and lower teeth, a bite impression, photos of your teeth and face, and xrays of your teeth. Once the records are sent to Invisalign they will send back a case study to tell the dentist (and you) how long your case will take and what will be involved. Typically in a shorter case like yours, a series of plastic aligners (clear plastic tooth positioners) will be custom made for your mouth. They look kind of like clear plastic bleaching trays they give you when you whiten your teeth. You will be instructed to try the first set of trays in. After this, every two weeks you will change your aligners to the next numbered set in the series, causing your teeth to gradually close the gap. They will probably give you at least 4 to 6 sets of aligners at a visit. You will go in to your dentist once a month for a progress check. A typical shorter Invisalign case can cost anywhere from $2500 to $6000 depending on the dentist and area you live. Make sure the price they quote you includes the retainers they need to make for you at the end of your treatment, and any replacement aligners that may need to be made if you lose or break one.
